Find Your Calm with Alternate Nostril Breathing (Nadi Shodhana)

Feeling scattered or stressed? Take a few minutes to practice Alternate Nostril Breathing, or Nadi Shodhana. This practice is a simple, powerful breathwork technique that brings balance to body and mind.

What is it?
Nadi Shodhana involves breathing through one nostril at a time while gently closing the other with your fingers. It balances the nervous system, calms the mind, and supports overall wellbeing.

How to practice:

  1. Sit tall and comfortably.

  2. With your right hand, use your thumb to close your right nostril.

  3. Inhale through your left nostril.

  4. Close your left nostril with your ring finger, and exhale through your right.

  5. Inhale through right, close it, exhale through left.

That’s one round. Repeat 5–10 times. Breathe slowly and stay relaxed.

Tips:

  • Practice on an empty stomach

  • Keep your shoulders soft

  • Stop if you feel dizzy
