Yoga that meets you where you are
A Practice Created for You
Yoga does not need to look or feel the same for everyone. Your practice can be gentle and grounding, strong and flowing, quiet and restorative, or a blend of different styles.
Private yoga gives you the space to move at your own pace while receiving personalized guidance, options, and support. Together, we can create a practice based on your experience, goals, mobility, energy, and how you are feeling that day.

Not sure which style to choose?
Your Practice Can Include More Than One Style
You do not need to choose only one type of yoga. Your private session can include a thoughtful combination of Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative yoga, breathwork, meditation, and gentle mobility.
We will begin by discussing what you are looking for and how you are feeling. From there, I will create a practice that feels supportive, accessible, and aligned with you.
Your Questions, Answered

You want to improve your strength, balance, mobility, or flexibility
You have specific postures or areas you would like to explore

-
Not at all. Private yoga is suitable for complete beginners as well as experienced students. I will explain each posture clearly, offer options, and give you time to explore the practice at your own pace.
-
Hatha yoga is often a supportive place to begin because it moves at a steady pace and allows time to learn the foundations of each posture. However, the best style depends on your needs and goals. A gentler Yin or Restorative practice may feel more suitable if you are looking for stillness, relaxation, or a slower experience.
-
No. Flexibility is not a requirement for practising yoga. Yoga can help you explore mobility, strength, balance, breath, and body awareness from wherever you are today. The practice will be adapted to your body rather than asking your body to fit a specific pose.
-
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move and breathe freely. Leggings, track pants, shorts, T-shirts, and comfortable layers are all welcome. Yoga is generally practiced barefoot, but socks can be worn during quieter or Restorative portions of the session.
-
If you have a yoga mat and props, you are welcome to use them. Depending on the location and type of session, I may also bring some of the props we need. Before your appointment, we will discuss what is available and whether you need anything specific.
Household items such as pillows, blankets, towels, and sturdy books can sometimes be used for support when appropriate.

While my home studio is being completed, private sessions can be offered in your home, workplace, or another suitable location in Hagersville and throughout Haldimand County.
We will discuss the available space and location during your complimentary consultation.

Yes. Every private session can be adapted based on your mobility, comfort, experience, and individual needs. Practices may be completed standing, seated, lying down, or with the support of props.
Please let me know about any injuries, medical conditions, or mobility concerns before your session. Yoga is not a replacement for medical care, and you may be asked to speak with your healthcare provider when appropriate.
-
Yes. Private yoga can be booked individually, with a partner, or for a small group. Each practice can be created around your group’s experience, goals, energy, and preferred style of yoga.
-
Private yoga sessions are generally 60 minutes. This allows time to arrive, discuss how you are feeling, move through your personalized practice, and finish with relaxation.

Yin and Restorative yoga are both slow and quiet, but they have different intentions.
In Yin yoga, seated or lying-down postures are held for several minutes while exploring gentle to moderate sensation. Props may be used for support, but some sensation is usually present.
In Restorative yoga, the body is fully supported by props so that very little physical effort is required. The intention is not to deepen a stretch. It is to create comfort, stillness, and space for deep rest.
